Insomniac Games revealed more info that includes visuals, gameplay, and pre-order bonuses.
After the big reveal that finally disclosed the release date of Marvel’s Spider-Man, Insomniac Games is continuing to trickle down information about the game on its Twitter account.
The studio uses “the increased power of PS4 Pro to its fullest,” and the decision to stick with 30 frames per second on both PS4 and Pro was to optimize “for a combination of the best performance and fidelity.”
Speaking of gameplay, the game has no multiple swinging modes, as Insomniac Games thinks that they “have a pretty great implementation that’s easy to pick up but leaves tons of room for mastery”.
Interestingly, while there is no exact size for the download of the game, Insomniac Games cautioned that it’s going to be “big.” This is actually interesting, as open-world games often tend to be a bit smaller in size.
Finally, The pre-order bonus suits will be still unlockable in the game even if you didn’t pre-order at all, they aren’t the only bonus item following that philosophy. The Spider-drone gadget also won’t be exclusive to those who reserve the game earlier, and it will be unlockable simply via gameplay as well.
At the moment, the studio has “nothing to announce” about the possibility of an early BETA, so we’ll have to wait and see what happens.
Marvel’s Spider-man releases on September 7th, exclusively for PS4.
